When it comes to getting what you want have you thought about whether you are passionate enough or not? There is no doubt that you have connected with people who are showing emotions on a TV show or news report. You don’t even know them but because of their emotions you can immediately feel their joy or sorrow.

This same concept applies to persuasion techniques and learning how to get what you want. If you are trying to persuade someone to do something and yet you are expressionless and emotionless your chances of success are pretty much zero.

If, on the other hand, you show passion and allow your true emotions to show through your success rate will likely soar through the roof. How many times have you listened to someone’s speech and all you remember is that they just went on and on?

This is exactly how you do not want people to remember you. So the next time you are preparing to speak on a topic or subject put some enthusiasm and passion into it.

Passion Makes It Better

When you allow your emotions to show people can connect with you and live your experiences. In fact people love to be able to identify with others and make a connection with them.

While you do want to be passionate you want to avoid becoming overzealous as this can look fake and deter people from liking you. Instead add enough passion and excitement into your speech as possible. You can include your audience by making use of body language and by using gestures.

Don't Go Overboard

Sales people often go overboard on the passion scale and they easily become transparent. You know immediately that they are after a sale and nothing else.

When using persuasion to get what you want you must rely on your verbal skills to get the results you want. You want to incorporate passion into your voice and your actions as a method of getting your point of view across. You are not trying to force anyone into something. Instead your aim is to persuade people that what you are asking is not unreasonable. It is plausible and that it is something worth trying.

When you incorporate just the right amount of passion into your persuasion techniques you will be well on your way to becoming a very effective speaker. Plus you will no doubt start getting just what you want.
